The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE-2013) is a national level scholarship program in India to identify and nurture talented students. The NTSE is open for students of Indian nationality whether they study in India or abroad at class Xth level. As it is organized by an official body NCERT, it is widely regarded as the toughest and most prestigious examination upto high school level in the country.The scholarship amount will be Rs. 500/- per month for all the students studying in Class XI onwards(irrespective of class/course) except for Ph.D., wherein it is paid as per UGC norms.

NTSE stage-I Pattern:

STSE (State talent search examination) is the 1st stage for NTSE-2013.it is conducted by each State/UT. each state/UT's conduct its state level screening examination on second sunday of november except in Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Meghalaya and Mizoram where it will be conducted on second statureday of november every year.

NTSE-2103 stage-II Pattern:

Candidates who clear the Stage-I are eligible for the NTSE stage-II (about top3000 students from the entire country). NCERT conducts this second stage every year on 2nd Sunday of May.

Students Studying abroad: canappear directly for Stage II NTSE-2013 under conditions prrescribed in the brouchure for class xth which is available on the NCERT website

I level exam for Std X
SAT: The syllabus for Mathematics, Science and Social Science will be broadly based on the prescribed respective State Board Syllabus from Std 10 (or in exceptions, Std 9) textbooks only. (provide reference)
II level exam for Std X
SAT: The mathematics and science questions will be asked from the chapters in the syllabus of class 9th, 10th and 11th. Social Studies is completely based on the NCERT book for CBSE students for Class 10
